The Rome Winnicott Group is a newly founded group (2020). All its members – currently four – are psychoanalytic psychotherapists, full members of the S.I.Ps.I.A., the Italian Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy for Children, Adolescents and Couples, as well as members of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (E.F.P.P.). Both the training institute and the scientific society they belong to have a clinical and theoretical approach which is specifically Winnicottian.
This study group has chosen to meet in person during the whole period of the pandemic, and to discuss and reflect upon Winnicott’s thought, through a chronological study of his work, and by always keeping an eye to the clinics – in these times, specifically to the psychological consequences of the pandemic, from a Winnicottian point of view.
